New Tuesday Weaving at Ciliau Aeron Hall

New for 2026-2027 4th Tuesday of every month all those who wish can meet at Ciliau Aeron Hall.

This is primarily for our weavers to allow them space to put their looms up, work on their projects, see what others are doing and share skills and knowledge.

Other members are welcome to come along with wheels etc, but will set themselves up so as not to impede those weaving.

Cost will be around £3 per meeting to cover hall hire, tea, coffee and milk.

 

Our Guild

Fifty years ago when our Guild was founded the following was written into our constitution.

 

'The objects of the Guild shall be to maintain and develop the handicrafts of spinning, weaving and dyeing, to work together with kindred bodies, and to assist members selling their work.'

 

We try to maintain this practice to ensure these ancient skills remain living skills

while enjoying all the equipment, fibres, dye stuffs and technology available to us now.

 

We run a varied programme of workshops, talks and demonstrations to achieve these aims and to expand our knowledge and enjoyment of our crafts.

Our membership spans all levels of competence and skill.

If you're just starting out, thinking about starting, or have been practising these disciplines for a long time, we'd love to welcome you to our Guild meetings. 

Many members are happy to share their knowledge with those less experienced to help in the learning and enjoyment of our crafts.​
